For the last several weeks I’ve been working with KK Outlet in London to create O Come All Ye Hackers, an exhibition of bad Christmas jumpers made on the hacked brother knitting machine. It opens this Thursday.

Here is a video of one of the jumpers I made with Becky Stern and the original youtube video (of a house with its xmas lights synced to a Slayer song) that it is based on:

I took a break from the studio to visit Zucotti Park today and gave one of the the librarians this scarf that I made. That bin next to him is what’s left of the library.

Becky Stern and I got interviewed about the hacked knitting machine in my studio at The Museum of Arts and Design for Rick Karr’s TV series about technology in New York: NYC 2.0.

Sizzlin’ like a giant panda nursery – The Recursive Cosby Sweater featured on ABC’s Good Morning America.

This is a sweater that I knitted, with the hacked knitting machine, of Bill Cosby wearing a sweater with Bill Cosby wearing a sweater on it. I’m really hoping that I will be able to see a picture of Bill Cosby wearing this one day.

This is a scarf I knitted based on a sample of the The Amen Break. I took an image of the waveform of the amen break and converted it into a knitting pattern, which I uploaded onto a hacked knitting machine. The knitting pattern repeats over and over the same way that the amen break sample gets looped in so many musical compositions.

I just uploaded a bunch of my old relief prints to this flickr set if you wanna check it out.

First, I was in an exhibition in Cincinnati, called YOU.HERE, which featured my Pizza for Sol project, in which I attempted to have the delivery guy draw a portrait of Sol Lewitt on the pizza box as a reference to Lewitt’s famous “Wall Drawings.”

Then I had a pizza sent to the opening of a Speed Show in Stuttgart, Germany, organized by Aram Bartholl. After hours of googling pizza places in Stuttgart, I think I found the one place that would take “special instructions,” and accept my credit card, and deliver to the show. Unfortunately, the pizza arrived sans drawing on the box. This may have been due to the fact that I typed, “please draw a cat on the box” into google translate and had the phrase translated into German. But when I pasted the German translation into google translate again, and had it translated back to English, I got, “please take a cat on the field.” So maybe, as a result of my order, there is a cat on a field somewhere in Stuttgart; I hope so.
